There are many local services that are involved in crime scene analysis, such as local Police stations, Crime Scene Investigators and also Government officials from the FBI. Crime scene investigators and forensic scientists have a very large influence on crime scene analysis. The investigators are able to find the different types of DNA in crime scenes, such as hair, blood, and even sexual secretions. The forensic scientists are able to test the DNA to see whether it is human or animal. They can also test to tell whether it is male or female, and can sometimes test to see whose DNA it really is. Forensic avidence such as DNA and blood is collected and then tested in sterile areas by highly trained professionals. Many services are available that test forensic substances.
